Greetings Card design contest

As long this is Christmas, we think it isn't complete yet without christmas greetings card. So we're the team decided to change the Tweet it up event to this one.

So I'd like to see the community creativity by make a design of Christmas Greetings Card! There will be 1 winner for this event, and the winner design will be used by me to give a greetings card. And of course I wouldn't get it for free. I'll pay the winner with Winter Vinyl Packs code!

This event will be hold on EA Forum, so if you haven't verified your origin account, you should verify it to join on forum. I will open a thread on forum on December 12th so you can post your entry.

Read the rules before posting if you don't want to get disqualified, and if anyone break the rules, without see that he/she is our friend or no, with heavy heart, we will disqualify you.

The rules :

• The desktop background must be in format : JPG, JPEG, or PNG
• Post your design on the thread which will be opened on forum
• You can't copy paste from the internet. It has to be your own made. But you can search for an inspiration from the internet
• You could post it with any size but don't make it to small or to big. Standard size of greetings card usually A5 or A7
• Post also your direct link to your full size picture (if your picture larger than width 655)
• The winners will be choosen by judging of NFS World Lovers team.
• Forum rules and ToS are valid. So, don't post inappropriate design.
• This contest starts on December 12th and will be closed on December 23th
• Winners will be announced before or on December 24th. Because I will use the winner's design for greeting cards for December 25th.
• The theme for the greetings card has to be Christmas theme.
• You only can submit 1 design. And can be edited until the deadline. Submit more than 1 design won't be maximize your chance to win and will only make you disqualified.
• This contests can be joined by all people around the world, not restricted

Yeah, Christmas is close. And like we've promised before that we will make a week full with a community contests.

Since NFSWorld not hold Spot the Devs for 6 months, I think it's time to make it back. And yes, they're planning to hold it again. We're sure lot of you can't wait for it. So we plan to make a kind of that event called 'Spot Orvin'.

To participate on Spot Orvin is very easy. Find TIMOTHYORVIN in game, take some screenshot with his car, and then send it via e-mail to him. But he hasn't decided yet what car he will drive, so we will tell you right one hour before it starts.

Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Stirling Moss

Some of you might disappointed to see the SLR McLaren 722 Edition handling. But, don't be negative with this SLR McLaren Stirling Moss. It's completely different from the 722 Edition. This one has better handling, acceleration and also top speed. So, here, let me give you the list

Top Speed : 8/10
It can reach 341 kmh by using NOS, and 329 kmh without nos or slingshot.

Acceleration : 8/10
0-100 kmh (0-62 mph) only take around 3 seconds.

Handling : 7.5/10
It's completely different with SLR McLaren 722 Edition. Because this one can turn better, not like a boat!

Price : 7/10
You will have to spend 8000 boost for this car. Not the king, but still worth it.

Style : 9/10
The style is more likely a concept car/future car.

Lamborghini Miura - History

Based on yesterday community interests with Lamborghini Miura Concept, today we've decided to give some information about Lamborghini Miura and it's history.

1. Lamborghini Miura P400

This is the first Miura. It has 3.9L Lamborghini V12 Engine which produced 350 PS. About 474 Miura were produced between 1966 and 1969 with $20,000.

 

2. Lamborghini Miura P400S

Miura P400S or known as Lamborghini Miura S was introduced on 1968 on Turin Motorshow. The engine has a change with the latest version with 20 PS addition. I can say that this car is limited because it's not much produced, only around 140 produced between December 1968 and March 1971.

 

3. Lamborghini Miura P400SV

Almost 100% sure that this is the most famous Miura ever made. You know this as Miura SV. This car was produced for 150 units and it has some changes from the Miura S, for example : 4.0L Lamborghini V12 Engine which give 15 PS addition to 385 PS, The gearbox now had its lubrication system separate from engine, and also new 9-inch wheels.

 

4. Lamborghini Miura P400 Jota

Be careful to see this car! If you see it carefully, you'll see the difference between the Miura SV that the bumper is already different. Only 1 of this were built and it means it's only for private buyer! Introduced on 1971.

 

5. Lamborghini Miura P400 SV/J

Actually only 5 of this were produced between 1983-1997. It was made from unused Miura S chassis.

 

6. Lamborghini Miura Roadster

Enjoy your summer with a roadster! First shown on 1968 based on the oldest Lamborghini Miura version (Lamborghini Miura P400). The one of a kind Lamborghini Miura Roadster was shown at the Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance in 2013.

 

7. Lamborghini Miura P400 SVJ Spider

 

First seen on 1981 Geneva Motor Show. This is actually a reconstructed version of the 1971 Lamborghini Miura S.

 

8. Lamborghini Miura Concept

Well, I'm sure this is the hottest one! First presented on January 5, 2005 during Los Angeles Motor Show. But this doesn't mean that the Miura will returned to be in production again. "The Miura was a celebration of our history, but Lamborghini is about the future. Retro design is not what we are here for. So we won’t do the Miura." said Lamborghini president and CEO Stefan Winkelmann.

NFSW Code Release Date Plan

So, this week there are 2 codes that NFSW will release. They're from VK (30k likes milestone) and Official Need for Speed World page on facebook (1M likes milestone). Here the plan :

Tomorrow (Wednesday) evening (EU) we will be releasing the 2nd Milestone code for the VK.com milestone so you will be able to get your hands on that (And let's be fair... that milestone was hit first)

Announcing Week of Cruise!

Yea! It's summer holiday here! And you know what does it mean? Yes, like I told you before, I'll hold some cruise event! So, what is Week of Cruise? Well, week of cruise is a week that full with cruise event. We'll hold this for 5 (five) days. So starting next week from Monday to Friday there are cruise event from me. Here the list :

Day 1 (Monday, June 24th) : Dodge Meet and Cruise
From 9:00 PM - 10:00 PM (GMT) / 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM (PDT)
All Dodge cars are allowed.

Dodge Challenger Concept "Cop Edition" - Review

Dodge Challenger Concept cop has been released in March 2013 and available for Speedboost Top-Up only. Today, I'm very happy because I get a chance to buy this car with 4160 Speedboost. So, make some review for this car. As usual, the minimum score is 1 and the maximum is 10.

 

Top Speed : 7/10

303 kmh for Class-A is already good without nitrous and 329 kmh if we use nitrous.

 

Acceleration : 7/10

Around 3 seconds from 0-100 kmh (0-62 mph)

 

Handling : 6.5/10

Not really bad. It's a bit heavy, but not as heavy as driving a boat like Dodge Viper SRT10. You still can handle it.

Style : 8.5/10
Each people has their different opinion. In my opinion it has very good style with big bull bars in front of the car and also in the backside. Also it comes with cop light. You always can turn it on by press "L" on our keyboard.

Skill Mods : 7.5/10
This car is already pre-installed with skill mods.
1) 2x Nitrous power skill mod (2-stars)
2) 2x Nitrous duration skill mod (2-stars)
3) 1x Race cash skill mod (2-stars)

Overall Performance : 7/10
Overall of performance is 616. Not really good stats, but it has average performance in Class-A. It comes with 2 stars parts (Race Series)

Average : 7.25
Not the worst of Class-A, and also not the best of Class-A. This car has average performance!

Unforgotable Moment - Cop Cars Meeting

We just having an unforgotable moment on Need for Speed World, Apex-EU server in Rockport Turnpike. It's a cop cars meeting where people use their favourite cop car. There are several people here. There are BYKUN, LEAGUEND, TIMOTHYORVIN, KENJI755, MOJONG76. The cop cars are Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR, Nissan Silvia (S15), and BMW M3 GTS.

So, will we make this unforgotable moment again? Maybe with different people and more people!

Caterham R500 Superlight - Review

Caterham R500 Superlight was released on Need for Speed World on Monday, April 22, 2013 after Spot the Devs Spring Edition end. It's a S-Class car and cost 6900 Speedboost. Today we make a review about this car since this car has been waited by a lot of Need for Speed World Community.

Remember, we will rate the car between 1 (minimum) and 10 (maximum).

Top Speed : 8/10
Reach 330 kmh without NOS and 360 kmh with NOS.

Acceleration : 7/10
0-100 kmh less than 3 seconds.

Handling : 9/10
It's very light car so it's easy to turn. But because of its weight, this car is not really good for Team Escape. It's very good in race!

Style : 8/10
An open-wheel car! Since not a lot of car has this model, usually we see on Formula 1 car!

Overall Performance : 8/10
When it's in stock condition from dealer, it's already pre-installed with Norset and Richter race series (2 stars) parts. The overall is 800. Good stats enough for S-Class.

Skill Mods : 7.5/10
The stock one from dealer come with pre-installed Skill Mods :
1) 2x Nitrous power skill mod (2-stars)
2) 2x Nitrous duration skill mod (2-stars)
3) 1x Race cash skill mod (2-stars)

So the average is : 7.9
If you like play race event, you should buy this car because it's designed for race. But this car is weak in Team Escape because the body is very light.
